It's hot here in Texas and our pets are feeling it

Today I was driving down the tollway and noticed a message on saying not to leave your child in the car during hot weather. I know this seems like common sense and yet it happens. This is also true for dogs (and other pets). According to the ASPCA, on an 85 degree day it only takes ten minutes for the inside of a v
ehicle to reach 102 degrees. Unfortunately, lowering windows does not reduce the rising heats enough to keep a pet cool.
What should you do if you see an unattended pet in a car on a hot day? Try to find the owner or call 9-1-1. Stay nearby until help arrives. Enjoy the beautiful weather and be safe.
